Elliptical App for Apple Watch

Custom Elliptical screens on Apple Watch, live with GPS, heart rate, and your real zones.

Steady indoor cardio, tracked simply: heart rate, zones, time, and active energy, written straight into Apple Health.

The elliptical is zone-two territory, and the screen can say so: a heart-rate hero on a zone-band background makes staying easy visible from across the gym, and every session still counts fully, toward rings, indoor achievements, and your training load.

What it tracksIndoor

Zone control, made visible

What the elliptical needs from a watch is effort control, and that is what the screen delivers: your five heart-rate zones anchored on real data, a zone-coloured diagram of the session, and, if you like structure, interval blocks counted down on the header. The machine’s own console can keep its estimates; the watch records your heart rate directly, and that record is what lands in Apple Health and moves your fitness and fatigue curves.

What it tracks
Heart rate & zones
Continuous heart rate against your five zones, the number that makes easy days actually easy.
Elapsed time
The session clock, big enough to read mid-stride, with segment time if you break the session into pieces.
Active energy
Energy from the watch’s own model, written into the Apple Health workout.
Frequently asked
Does Runara track elliptical sessions properly?

Yes, as a dedicated elliptical workout type: heart rate, zones, time, and energy, saved to Apple Health and counted toward rings, achievements, and training load. There is no GPS indoors, so the screen focuses on what is actually measured.

Why do watch calories differ from the machine display?

The machine estimates from resistance and cadence for an average body; the watch models energy from your actual heart rate and profile. Two different models, two different numbers, the watch’s is personal, and it is the one saved with your workout.

Can I keep the whole session in one heart-rate zone?

That is what the zone widgets are for: a badge, a segmented bar, or a ring shows the current zone at a glance, a zone-band background colours the whole screen by it, and audio cues can announce zone crossings so you never have to look at all.
